It won’t mount. That is the problem with this setting on. Can’t force the mount either. Turning off that setting thou, lets you mount the drive.

They disable it by default because your OS should never take it upon itself to delete user files without permission.
Disk Cleanup is a more useful utility built in. Does all the same and more if that is only cleaning %TEMP%.
You can’t hide files. They are still there, just the OS doesn’t list them. With the right views, and/or tools, it is trival to show them again.

Sure you can add some, but you cannot remove the defaults. Like, Trips, Saved, Purchases, Finance, Social, Updates, Forums, Promos, and Low Priority.
None of those folders are useful to me, and you cannot remove them.
