Yes, U of M should have been a 6 seed (taking Maryland’s ridiculous overseeding) and OK State somewhere around an 8-9. Minnesota getting overseeded at a 5 seed was also bad (but MTSU was underseeded, so Minnesota didn’t get a break there).

There are a number of first round matchups that don’t have a team as good as EITHER of these teams. Shame one of them had to lose while teams like Northwestern, Xavier, and Middle Tennessee move on.
