I don’t really understand when or why people think Luke was ever a badass anyway. For a few portions of Return of the Jedi I guess? Though even that was pretty clearly just posturing, and he completely gets his ass kicked at the end of the movie, and only “wins” because of Vader’s emotional breakthrough.

Uh, Crazy in Love, Halo, Irreplaceable, Single Ladies, Countdown? All really fantastic pop songs that have held up over the years and still sound fresh and exciting.

She’s had her share of duds and stuff that hasn’t aged well, and wasn’t someone I kept up with regularly until her last two albums though. Lemonade in

The big difference is that Don’t Look Now has really amazing lead performances and lead characters... whereas as much as I love it, Suspiria does not. Suspiria is more of a pure aesthetic headtrip for me, almost academic at times in it’s complete remove from plot and character. Whereas I find Don’t Look Now a lot more

Harrelson was also really good in Edge of Seventeen last year, he’s had a pretty good run recently.

It should be mentioned that reviewer has only seen 7 episodes, so it sounds like she was still in most of the eps up for review.

You can still spoof and build jokes on the overall political atmosphere in the US right now, which is very complex, charged, and can provide tons of material for jokes, without referencing Trump explicitly. I’m almost finished rewatching Arrested Development S1 now and I don’t think Bush has been referenced once, and

Wait what? Criminal Minds is inescapable for me. I swear almost everyone I know at least has some passing familiarity with it. It’s probably my most hated tv show ever but even I’ve seen multiple episodes and know some of the characters.

So it looks like this is the case for new people signing up for Moviepass. Guess I’ll have to wait and see what it means for those who already have it.

I do think the show certainly intends you to think that Ford has a negative view of humanity that’s displayed through his design of the park. In something like Episode 3 or 4 William says something like “I get the sense that whoever designed this place didn’t think much of people”. It’s not very subtle about this

Am I the only one who loves the second half of Rocky Horror? All those songs in the floor show sequence are fantastic.

No as far as I know, she’s received it since then, largely due to Duchovny holding up the demand on his end. I know when they revived the series they initially offered her far lower pay and she was like “seriously, this shit again?”.

Yes, the church scene in Never Lasts Forever really worked well as a finale, and helps keep me from being enraged at the bullshit this episode offers up. The last couple scenes of “The Lost Art of Forehead Sweat” also work beautifully as a capper to the relationship and themes of the series.

I don’t know, I feel like Carter really got what the show was and what made it work for the first three or four seasons: he wrote some of the best episodes during those periods, and inspired his other writers to do more creative and interesting work. In Seasons 5-7 he still had great episodes like “The Post Modern

Anderson has demanded equal pay to Duchovny for years, starting around season 6 or 7 of the original series.

It’s actually Black Panther’s 6th weekend! But yeah I’m skeptical: the advertising for this one hasn’t been particularly aggressive, and it seemed like even Tomb Raider had more going for it in terms of commercial appeal. I guess we’ll see...

Season 7's Requiem really would have been a great finale. The various finales they’ve had since then really have just been increasingly lame and unsatisfying (and the last two just plain awful and insulting).

Weren’t her ova actually removed? This was just utterly ludicrous on every level.

Jesus this was awful on so many levels. It’s not as purely incompetent, lazy, and idiotic as the S10 finale, but in some ways it’s even more infuriating because that last Mulder/Scully scene is so insulting to the characters (and clearly designed to be an emotional climactic moment between the two of them). After the

Seriously, the level of quality between Ghouli and this garbage really makes you wonder why anyone agreed to hand Carter the reins again rather than Wong.
