no different than biillionaire sports owners threatening to move their team if the city doesn’t build them the latest and greatest glitzy my-dick-is-bigger-than-yours-stadium.

actually, i think the engineering feat lies with the merc, who was only .4 seconds behind with a 500lb heavier car, less aero, less h-p, and a heavier engine also.

In 6th grade my family went on summer vacay to our relatives in lubbock, tx. we drove there from syracuse, ny in a rental Previa (we never few anywhere).

well damn, who knew?

It would be pretty badass if Dodge and Ford got together to reshoot that famous scene through the streets of San Fran again except using this new Bullitt and a Hellcat (or Demon). Vaughn Gittin could drive the Stang!

i think the better word for “trick” would be caveat. There’s no real trick involved.

fuck yeah math!

I second Fremont street. I actually have more fun down there than the strip. It’s cheap, it’s dirty, it’s trashy but all those things are what make it entertaining. Check out the bars and restaurants right before you get to Fremont like Gold Spike (adult games - darts, shuffleboard, etc. but everything is SUPERSIZED,

In Drew’s defense, this is really on the electoral college... As we all know Hillary won by millions.

Well, that’s my question. Is there one trailer that stays at the Ring and everyone pulls it in the hopes of taking the record? Or is it BYOT? And if so, then can you just bring any trailer, or are there specs that have to be observed? SO. MANY. QUESTIONS.

i can’t roll my eyes harder at this... are there qualifications for the trailer? are we going to see manufacturers start making trailers specifically for the Ring just so they can be part of the record?

if it makes you feel any better that was just about the same cost to replace the injectors in my ttV8 bmw 650.... except that only took care of half the cylinders!!

i already hate myself for making this comment (because I’m now being that guy) but unless this was practice (which it totally doesn’t look like it was), why did the marshals let them have non tied down objects in their vehicle which is against SCCA rules?

everyone knows about the Stratos that was on BaT and just sold today right? Ok cool.

haha actually as someone that uses hand controls, this already exists. one of the newest technologies out are hand controls that actually connect to the car’s computer for gas, rather than a direct link to the pedal. There is still a direct link to the brake (mounted behind so the pedal is still clear in the front).

Re: The overhead pic... how do the passenger cars fall on both sides of the tracks? seems to defy physics unless there was some sort of twisting force....?

everything you said is so on point

great write up... i have to agree... the e36 has been incredibly reliable, almost shockingly so!

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
