Another report from MI: Trump supporters are loud, proud, and in your face. (especially in rural areas) I have never seen such boisterous support for any political candidate in my lifetime. They will not stop while there is any chance white power will be diluted by democracy. Things will continue to be ugly and I…
Strange. the grayed out fake dudebra account, a known, Black Lives Matter supporter, stated that he hates killer cops and wants cops to stop murdering suspects.
I’m in Michigan, specifically Metro Detroit. I am still 100% convinced that Trump will win Michigan. There is a large, mostly silent, contingent of affluent white folks who “don’t want their kids to grow up in a world with less rights”. They are all voting Trump.
This is a logical way point in the USA envisioned by the GOP: any peaceful protest against cops who get away with murder can expect violent counter protests / militia assault - all while Trump clowns only monitor BLM and lefty/progressives.
Eyewitness accounts say that cars with blacked out license plates were handing bricks, wooden objects and other things. The fact that people are mocking those saying call the police while protesting brutality are the worst kind of scum. Again all we are asking for is accountability is that too much to ask? To you…
“This movie will be opening in only two theaters: in Fukushima, Japan and in Pripyat, Ukraine. Reviewers are welcome to watch it there!
Let’s be honest, Disney doesn’t care about this movie and that’s ultimately why they probably just don’t want to do the work of providing review copies and really don’t care if nobody shows up to watch it.
No, these are equally serious things.
As an ethical stance about not letting writers harm themselves to produce reviews, it would carry more weight if it had been consistently applied over the years. Everyone has been happy to look the other way while critics were using PEDs to slam out reviews as we cheered them on. You think Ignatiy knocks out…
Whatever, nerds. No warning is going to stop me from seeing the awesome spectacle of *looks at stills* five grimacing teens standing and looking at something off-camera on the biggest screen I can find.
It is gloriously apropos that a movie featuring Illyana Rasputin has been stuck in Limbo for years.
So it absolutely blows, and they’re denying screeners because this is the perfect time to release without critical blowback and then blame the pandemic for awful performance anyway.
All snark aside, this is the right call from both an ethical and scientific perspective. I knew Disney was greedy and soulless, but I didn’t think they were dumb enough to think enough people would choose the 800th different X-Men over risking their lives to make a profit.
I suppose The New Mutants finally being released qualifies as one of the signs of the apocalypse, and hey, wouldn’t you know it, there’s an apocalypse happening!
I prefer Sunspot as part of the New Mutants. I really did not like that series. Ewing is very hit (Immortal Hulk) or miss (Ultimates).
There has to be a less dangerous way for Disney to bury a movie to get around contractual obligations.
As an aside, Sunspot once led his own Avengers team that was formed from a than reformed AIM.
