I’ve heard that one too. Trickle-Down elections?

Bernie running as a democrat was the most intellectually dishonest thing he’s ever done. It’s basically using the democratic machine for his own ends but not willing to reciprocate in the least.
You mean that people from local races are more likely to support the person who is helping fund their campaign? The ignominy!
Well if you’re just going to say she’s lying every time she says something you agree with, there’s no way for her to win your favor.
“There’s just something about her I don’t trust...”
It’s against the law or something to write anything nice about Hillary. She could save someone from a burning building and they’d snark.
I don’t know which one of your posts to reply to because they have all been spot on. One only needs to look at any random shot at a Bernie rally and you see a sea of mostly male, white, faces. Tell that to any one of them though, and they immediately come back with “but Ta-Nehisi Coates” and pics of the 2 PoC in the…
I grew up in New England, so I’ve known who he was literally since junior high. Of course, this also made it a bit difficult to take his claims of being a total outsider seriously, since he’s been in Congress since I was about eight. I was actually primed to vote for him, though, until the conduct of some of his…
You can believe whatever you want to believe but I don’t think that’s true. I think she’s absolutely being honest: drop its schedule, do some research, let states legalize, and go from there.
Yes, I have seen the warmonger attacks on Hillary- conveniently forgetting who was President at the start of the Iraq war (GW Bush), or who else voted for high ticket defense items for the Iraq war- as long as they were built in Vermont (Sanders). She also gets tagged for Kissinger’s push for the Vietnam war- even…
Yep. I try to basically keep politics off my facebook, because of the rabid anti-hillary sentiment people post. I am in Colorado, and our governor is one of the super delegates who will be voting for Hillary. When asked about it this week on the news, he said the effect of ‘sure, the will of the people is that they…
Thank you. Bernie is the left wing version of Drumpf. He makes a bunch of promises, but can’t say how he’ll actually manage to make those things happen except executive orders, ignores women’s issues and minority issues, and basically is promising a unicorn farting rainbows to every voter, which he can never deliver.
I finally put a filter on my FB feed that keeps any post tagged with #feelthebern off of my newsfeed, because at one point it was literally nothing but Bernie memes. It was liberating.
Being caught admitting Hillary Clinton can be funny and cool under pressure is just so unhip, apparently.
The thing that gets me are these comments:
“I won’t vote for a Clinton or a Bush.”
“Watching Hillary’s speech. God save me from her.”
“Hillary Clinton is a war-monger!”
I’m thinking about just suspending the entire Internet until this is all over.
Didn’t you know? Bernie is, like, all cool and shit. So cool he couldn’t even bother to find one woman to hire to one of the top ten most highly-paid positions in his campaign. Worse than Marco Rubio, even. But we’re a feminist site, so of course we’ll just keep shitting all over Clinton for... well, reasons.
I do find it cringe-worthy, but not for the reason implied; first, it’s too on-the-nose, too identical to real criticism of her instead of clearly absurd. Second, it’s cringe-worthy when any politician tries to be funny or cool in a rehearsed and calculated way. I had the same reaction to Bernie Sanders dancing onto…
Additionally, government functions exactly the opposite of business. If we were talking about a successful businessman, which as not_productive points out we’re not, we would still be in deep shit, because when government revenues fall, government spending should increase to guarantee the social safety net. (Since not…
I need to apologize. For years I have asked for a politician that is:
