It could take a turn where 1/4 way through the autonomous cars start to become "aware" and develop a competitive streak. By the time they reach the finish-line in the parking-lot of the race's corporate sponsor, the camera pans out to reveal the building is Cyberdyne systems. The first few bars of the T2 theme plays,…
do you still do the wave if it's a ghost?
I know what you mean about excess cars :)
I just shipped my BRZ off to CarMax last October since I was mostly just using it to commute to work and felt that the payments on it would be better spent paying off another car and my credit card. I should be debt free pretty soon, so what better way to celebrate than by…
It doesn't have to be F1, but the prestige of the series has dropped off dramatically since the unification. CART was the pinnacle of open wheel racing in the US. What we have now is essentially a spec series.
On a global scale, Indy is kind of a backwater hick series. How many times has it almost died so far?
Only 276 HP, but it's faster than an E46 M3 and can get within .5s of the CTS-V's quarter mile time.
Haha, seriously? Not too surprised to find that one of the ATS manuals on that site is owned by a Jalop. Somebody needs to jump on that since it sounds like a pretty good deal. I won't be in the market for another car until about May or June at the earliest.
Oh yeah? Well, your car sucks more and smells funny!
Interesting timing on this post, since I've been browsing www.swapalease.com all day. I'm having to remind myself that I should pay off my credit card before getting this:

Good to hear. I'll be looking for a daily driver in a few months, and it caught my attention when I saw you can get it with the range extender option.
Yeah, I wasn't meaning to say that it was invalid, more that a lot of the safety and crash survivability these days has come from regulations as much as technology. Drivers knew about the HANS in 2001, but none of them wanted to use it. Earnhardt was a pretty vocal opponent of it.
He was chill in public. Behind closed doors he had to have is way and would not race Ogier on an even field. I lost a lot of respect for Loeb when he and Ogier were teamed up at Citroen. Even with that loss, he is still miles ahead of Schumacher, Alonso, and Vettel though.
I only do low-level stuff like track-days, autox, and drift events, but basilar skull fractures still terrify me if I think about it. I don't think I would even run LeMons without a HANS. You don't need high speeds for it to happen, just unlucky for the most part.
HANS existed in 2001 also, he just didn't wear one. Or a closed-face helmet.
When the Model 3 comes to market with a starting price of $42k, Elon is going to say "Well, it's still $35k in 2014 money".
...yet
they could've at least piped in some V8 noise like the rest of the Germans are doing. Hell, might as well make it a high-revving V12.
How do you like the i3?
There is one problem with this comparison of yours:
The Model 3 does not exist. It still has plenty of time to be a shitshow.
