I was going to make the opposite point, I guess I am going to make the opposite point. I think it looks too normal for an EV. I don’t know why, but I think people that pay a premium for an electric car want the world to know what they have spent the extra money on or something.

Movies seem to portray an intense rivalry between police officers and firefighters.  Do you have any insight into how true that is?  If such a rivalry does exist, it might come from or at least be exacerbated by movies.

I’m all for it if it makes you happy..I had a facelift 19 years ago and I loved it and got a lot of mileage out of it. It was a very natural looking job done by Dr Dan Baker in NYC. I was about fifty at the time and I got to be thirty eight again, which was lots of fun.

Except that range is more than enough for most people, and this isn’t ugly and crappy like a Bolt.

It’s also 9x more than most people need on a daily basis. 

This is the longest range EV crossover you can buy for under $40k. How is that a fail?

For me the thing that is always jarring is when the new face is both 1) very different and 2) doesn’t seem like an an improvement by Hollywood beauty standards.

I rented a Rav4 recently and with all highway driving it didn’t make it more than 300 miles on a tank. How many people fill up their Rav4s every day? Or even every week?

Nah, thats plenty of range.  It would only cost more with more range.  250 miles covers almost every american’s daily driving patterns.

If a Suburban EV came out today with a 250 mile range, would you call that a fail?

Having worked with both police officers and firefighters, I think FFs are way more chill; agree they’re mostly bros, but not “let me put you in a chokehold” control freaks like cops.
