I had soured on them a little through ownership (degrading performance), but my stint a a vacuum repair guy is what did me in. Simple,robust,easily and logically serviced should be the goal for appliances IMO. (Don't get me started on residential dishwashers or washer/dryers)

No issues with the myriad of cheap rubber seals drying out? No clogging of the dust chamber? No transmission problems (only some models)? They are over engineered, but built to a price. Ikea has one for dirt cheap. Gets discolored easily, but decently sturdy.

Their vacuums are junk and I'm always shocked how much people love them. They need to go to their local repair center and take a look out back. Dysons as far as the eye can see usually. Granted, that's partially because no one pays to fix cheap vacuums, but their reliability is terrible.

Dysons are junk. I fixed vacuums for a living for a little bit and our boneyard was packed with them. They are no better than any other cheap Chinese bagless. And a nightmare to clean, though I think the "cyclonic chamber" has been redesigned.

I find Jay on the boring side of competent, so I really have no opinion on Rubin's rap productions. For rock records he often elicits good performances, but the records always sound fucking terrible to my ears.

I hate Rick Rubin's (rock) production with the burning fire of a thousand UTIs though. I'm not sure any record he has ever produced wouldn't have sounded far better with anyone (save maybe Mutt) at the controls.
