If I'm paying $60 for a game, the only "transactions" I want to see are giant expansion packs or map packs. This nonsense reeks of Diablo 3 RMAH. I don't want an ever-changing marketplace where things are nerfed/buffed on the fly depending on if fans are unhappy.

A $1000 PC from 2005 is most certainly not 32 bit. 64 bit processors have been around a LONG while. Not that it matters much because games are only, at most, LAA (with few exceptions).

Your argument makes not sense... The graphics capabilities of either the 360 or PS3 compare to that of an old AMD X1900.. What you just called "high settings" would be considered low-mid range on a PC.

It's a PC, completely modifiable and customizable both in terms of hardware and software (including OS). You could buy it, wipe it, and install only Windows if you really wanted to. (Though I have no clue why somebody would do that)
