It could be an elctric super charger and not be belt driven and still be a super charger, just not belt driven. As for an electric turbo, think F1. The electric motor provides spin until the exhaust can over run the electric motor, probably with some sort of one way clutch.

In all honesty a mix of both. I hate crowded stalks and I don’t like to reach for something too many times I guess. Blinkers, brights, wipers and cruise control on stalks and that’s about it. I also don’t like too many buttons on the steering wheel, maybe just volume. Crowded stalks are the worst though...
