Oh jeez, you are old :) I suppose it’s a matter of personal preference and general gaming experiences then (of which, we both probably have many over the decades).

How “old” are you though? I started gaming in the 8-bit NES generation (having brushed upon the Atari one) and spent most of my formative years in the 16-bit SNES/Genesis generation before graduating to the 32-bit PSX/Saturn to round out a majority of my teenage years.

I prefer the pixelated sprite look, especially in this game’s case. Not surprisingly, the concept art was by Paul Robertson, an excellent pixel animator who worked on the Scott Pilgrim game and the second and third Shantae games. I could look at his stuff all day.

It may have worked otherwise, with a Streets of Rage 4 type of look, but the pixel designs are definitely there for nostalgia and would be a huge miss if they decided to do away with it. I’m sure a lot of fans would even be upset, because, well, it’s the Internet.

Beat-em-ups, IMO, practically require the use of sprites. I legit can’t think of a single brawler that has looked or felt better using 3D polygons rather than sprites.

I would bet money on this same approach. They’ll change things, but the set pieces and spectacles will be largely the same. And honestly, that’s how they should approach this.

Actually, the LT with the 1.4t was a fun little runabout. Very chuckable, torque rich, inexpensive, and fit 4 adults no sweat.

Was the CRZ even supposed to be a performance car? I thought it was the replacement to the Insight, a decidedly un-fun, but still kinda quirky and cool car, like the CRZ.
