Tactics Ogre for PSP was a game I really wanted to love. The story is mature and complex, its just that the story was so hard to follow because in between story segments there was a ton of inventory management plus battles that can take hours so you forget what the heck is going on. I’ve noticed that the generation of gamers behind me just absolutely loves Legend of Dragoon. Its funny because when it was released, while not trashed, was often dismissed as a meh FF7 knockoff. Personally I feel that yes it was a blatant FF7 knockoff, but it was a very good knockoff.

What the PS1 had is so many newish and original games the likes we don’t get today. That being said JPRGs are better today.
