I use an initial in my name to stand out amongst the dozens of other people with my same first and last name. Repeatedly I’ve had *publications* go to print without the initial. It infuriates me like no tomorrow. I don’t think changing my last name would’ve led to this much stress.

I read an article (on here?) talking about how it may be better to talk earlier on about a pregnancy rather than the “safe” zone of three months gestation. That way if you miscarry, people can really sympathize with you and give you the support you need. I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately.

I find this conversational format to be hard to read. This one isn’t as bad as the previous ones with the new layout. I’m a skim reader, so it’s very difficult to find the interesting bits when the conversation gets sidetracked into something else entirely.
