Sounds like the kind of thing you buy as a backup if you work near a Taco Bell. Like “I forgot to pack a lunch...I’ll just grab a taco.”

There are some sexy times in the show. Not all with Geralt.

Welcome to Jezebel 2022, folks.

I don’t even find Geralt that sexy in the video games. In the games it’s hard to tell if he’s a guy with white hair or like a muscley middle aged man. I also find Cavill not that attractive even though I find other Superman actors like Christopher Reeves, Dean Cain in his prime, Tom Welling in his prime or Brandon

This comment sent me off on a bit of a search on both sites. I don’t think of AV Club as being particularly unfriendly to trans people(I mean, I regard it as being very left-leaning socially), so I was curious about how each site covered the show. I went back one year, and some of it was not surprising. The AV Club

Time to get Shitty McShitfaced.

Anyone who doesn’t like Boaty McBoatface is a Jerky McJerkface!

I’m glad the internet can still occasionally do a good thing for humanity.

It should have been the boat’s name, but they fobbed it off on an unmanned submersible, the cowards.

Why do you feign exasperation with the name you wrote this article to promote, and isn’t even the ship’s name?

They seriously kept that name?  Because I sure as fuck wouldn’t have

We’re Fucky McFuckfaced.

So how long do you think it will be until we stop saying ‘I’ll take X for Y, Alex’?

Love it when people who aren’t a part of a marginalized community tell that community how they should be reported on, or what the future should look like for that community. People in here saying Kotaku shouldn’t mention Amy being trans, or that it should be a “footnote”. That’s pretty much the same as saying “not

It is weird that AV Club, which is where most other Jeopardy news was posted, has been silent about the show for weeks, and now Kotaku has it as one of their regular beats. I'm guessing this is because Kotaku is more trans-friendly or whatever and coverage of the show will go back to AV Club once Amy is defeated.

No, actually, it won’t be normalized until people like you stop getting upset every time you see the word “trans.”  Shoving somebody’s gender under the rug is the opposite of normalizing it.

Given her own statement that appearing on the show could let her send ‘a positive message to the nerdy trans girl who wants to be on the show too.’” I think she’d be pretty happy Kotaku was highlighting her trans status in this situation.

I definitely think being a Jeopardy champion is the big story here, but Amy herself talks about wanting to be an inspiration specifically to other trans women. I still think the distinction that Amy is a trans woman who is competing this well matters, as she is breaking ground as a trans contestant.

I’m obviously not

Acknowledging her trans identity is worlds different from harassing her for it.
