I’m not sure if it’s an alarm bell considering the userbase reaction to this news has been “good.”
Oh God. Cue the conversation I had in 2001 when our first child was born: “Yes mom, my brother and I did survive our cribs in 1970. No mom I don’t want it for my son, because by today’s standards, it’s a death trap. No, you can’t set it up at your house and use it for sleepovers. I’ll just buy you a new one.”
Oh I can’t wait for all the “we road rear facing as kids in xyz old car, back in the ancient past and survived” survivor bias stuff in the comments.
I was pretty meh about the book (it only did a surface-level of exploration of a lot of its ideas, and spent more time talking about beachhead colonies than actually developing much of a plot). But the director-actor combo actually makes me think this could have some promise.
You can get permits to harvest Christmas trees in any national forest, including Stanislaus.
I dunno if it’s a more money than time thing. Most dedicated readers (that is, people who read more than 3-5 books a year, which is the vast majority of book buyers), for whatever reasons, end up buying more books than they end up reading. They do generally read the new books by the authors they love.
Buying books and actually reading them are two totally different things, as anyone with a TBR pile can tell you. I’ve materially supported a lot of authors I’ve never gotten around to reading.
Never heard of any of this but wow. What makes it so hilarious is books do not really compete with each other. Its not like people are going “I can read Book A but that means I can never ever read Book B”. So begs the question - what did she think she would accomplish here?
I think you’re either misreading or referring to something else when you link to that Reddit thread of Reylos.
So being against people dying is bad, got it.
Are the posts linked in that Twitter account the ones that got her fired? There’s nothing remotely anti-semitic in there.
The majority of people in America support at least a ceasefire, even when the question is heavily loaded against it. Even a majority of Republicans. Somehow.
Being against Benjamin Netanyahu, Likud, the IDF, and the Israeli government is neither a hot take nor anti-semitic.
Ok, but in the meanwhile Barrera posted actual truth on Insta.
The entirety of Israel sits on occupied Palestinian land.
Is this that “cancel culture” I keep hearing about?
Blah blah blah
Hahahahaha they’ve lost Syndey and now they’ve lost the sister the whole damn sequel arc was built around.
Facts are not a matter of “agreement”.
On CNN yesterday the Former Prime Minister of Israel Ehud Barak let slip to Christiane Amanpour that Israel believes there are tunnels and bunkers under the hospitals they keep bombing because... Israel built a bunch of tunnels and bunkers under hospitals forty years ago when they controlled Gaza.
