As a Corvette owner, I should know this: Why are small-block Chevy V8’s so much smaller/lighter than a DOHC, despite their huge displacement? For example, my “huge” 6.2L LS3 is apparently smaller and lighter than the “tiny” 4.0L S65 from the E90 M3.

Does that mean he’s not coming on, then?

The point is the state should be charging ANYONE 9% on a car whether it is a Kia or a Bentley.  Just charge $75 bucks or some reasonable fee to cover the administration of the DMV or whatever bureaucracy the tax is designed to pay for.

in this moment, i feel richer than a tesla owner because my washer and dryer aren’t in the garage.

You can and should use credit cards to boost your score. If you are financially responsible, you should be able to put all of your purchases on credit without overspending. If you have to use cash to do that, your fiscal responsibility is only so deep. I had no problem buying a car after college just by having 2

I don’t have an EV, but I actually think they’ve come to the point where they’re an easy sell. I’ll tell you why. For almost all of your driving, you never use a full tank; that’s only road trips. So, as long as your battery has the range to get you out for your daily driving and back home at night with room to

I’ve developed the theory that if we just change the driver test course to make everyone reverse down a narrow 200' s-curve and then parallel park at the end in under 5 minutes(of course this is a pass/fail only test), it would eliminate nearly 3/4's of the drivers on the road.

I am “fortunate” enough to be driving a manual. I would stomp on the clutch pedal too, cutting power delivery to the transmission in the process.

I give it 5 years before Tom Hanks plays an airline captain who is forced to ditch, then is taken hostage by local pirates only to escape and live on his own for years while awaiting rescue.

Is there anyone else out there who doesn’t give a shit about Elon Musk as a celebrity but likes Tesla and their vehicles? Yeah gaps. Yeah their fanboys are annoying. I don’t own one but I’ve ridden in one and...they are just pretty good cars. So...let Elon Musk tweet and be ridiculous. It’s not like he’s the president

Wasn’t Tesla supposed to hit 5k model 3's a month way before they did? How is it that they didn’t plan to have shipping for these 5k cars a month?

They’re still trying to figure out who Lefty Lucy is.

You, I, Mark Whalberg, and every goddamned person reading this is fully and completely aware of the glaring omission in the 90 minute shower description. I’m glad you didn’t include it, but we all know.

“Just throw a small block Chevy motor in it!” is a refrain I hear all too often from uninspired gearheads. Yes, I said it: uninspired. Boring.

All 5 of those things are exactly the same as in the 1st gen Leaf. Source: have owned a 2015 since new.

Most bicycle accidents where a cyclist is hit by a car occur when a cyclist is going across a crosswalk riding their bikes on the sidewalk. Cyclists are actually much safer riding on the street and taking the whole lane.
