I hate to say it, but that really is a $4-5000 car. It should be worth more, but as a Corvair owner, I know how depressingly cheap these can be at times. It’s a nice example and I truly hope he does get his asking price.

Agreed.
Open Wheel,Open Cockpit series. Don’t like it? Don’t race in it.
it’s that simple, always has been. It’s a dangerous sport. you want a safe one? Take up golf.
Yes, you did:
Yes, exactly that.
You need to understand how statistics work. You simply can’t design for the the 99.5% percentile, you’re going to have a 10,000 lb brick.
You’re not an engineer, don’t act like one.

Pretty sure he actually destroyed the Halo.
We need to look at the statistical distributions of accidents where drivers are (seriously) injured and focus on safety equipment to prevent/reduce those injuries.
I bet if we crunched the numbers this halo is going to protect drivers from very few accidents in the real world.

I’m sorry, but a 79 year old woman intentionally going 147 in a Boxster shouldn’t be given a fine OR a ban. She should be given a medal, because she’s clearly a goddamn global hero.

In my experience my parents “received a copy.”
Not like law enforcement doesn’t already have a copy of everyone who grew up in the ‘80s and ‘90s fingerprints already from BS “Just in case you kids gets kidnapped” events and DARE at school.
Yeah, I have found it odd the copy editing got worse when a larger media company took over GMG.
Came here to say the same, I think it’s supposed to be “Don’t travel or put your privacy at risk...”
The traveling and associated biometric scanning is what IS putting your privacy at risk in this case (although you really have no privacy when flying commercial and haven’t for years).
Those wheels aren’t helping.
