Why can't we just have this grill!
Why can't we just have this grill!
A bit better than the RL but that grill pretty much ruins it for me. I sort of liked the old TSX. My boss had one and let me go for a spin. It was rock solid, seemed plenty fast for the real world, and had one of the slickest manual transmissions I've ever had the pleasure of using.
@crevans: Well yeah, in profile the rear quarter of the new Accord looks a lot like the current 5-series. As for this new TL, yikes.
Ralph Lauren has one, it was displayed at the Car's of Ralph Lauren exhibit at the MFA Boston a few years back. It was awesome. The end.
Oh this brings back memories...This was basically the first car that my family bought when we moved to the US n the early 90s. We had a red one and it served us pretty well. My step-dad really liked that car, still reminisces about it. But then again, he had a Lada which he loved like his own child for a long time…
got a 2008 taurus as a rental once...fully loaded too. I was pleasantly surprised by it as fas as being a good highway cruiser. pulled away nicely from the tolls too and was most happy doing 85-90.
The sideways picket has the highest potential for making children cry.
this might be harder to reverse than a Countach unless it has a camera out the back...Not a bad looking car I suppose but it doesn't make me drool uncontrollably. Probably looks better in person.
@Novaload: the term you are looking for is "Bangle butt"
A family friend had a 4wd one of these for while. Eventually the car ended up in the hands of another family friend who used it as a daily driver instead of his Expedition. The car smoked a little bit, but I swear the auto box shifted smoother than his wife's RX300.
this would also have been a suitable candidate for Top Gear's rocket last season...
I'm still baffled by why Schumi would be taking a regular cab...doesn't make much sense.
@Ray Wert: Looks pretty much the same to the untrained eye, so that's not helping it. The fact that it's a Z06 does make this a slightly more challenging decision, I don't have the same immediate "owner has mid-life crisis" reaction to Z06s that I do regular Vettes.
I'd be kind of curious to see what else Wert had in terms of options...
Problem with the Jeep is that apart from fellow Jalopniks there's a chance that few other people will recognize it's coolness. Now that could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it. As far making a statement, the jeep certainly outweighs the Z06 as it's a concept car, plus at least where I went…
Come to think of it, I've always wanted to see what a cubed artist would look like...
Look at the front of the car in the last pic. Either the track or the wheel/tire combo are a lot more narrow than on the 599, so something is going on here.
