This is one of my prime reason to enjoy the Apple regime. I've always said having too many manufactures was going to bite Google in the ass.

Probably since it was most likely due to this: http://gizmodo.com/5922578/how-an-electrical-storm-in-virginia-brought-down-a-large-chunk-of-the-internet

And ALL of the major players in the payment processor arena already support NFC payments and have for years. It's just a matter of a vendor deciding to upgrade their terminal to the latest and greatest. Normally that can be done for a *minor* fee or free if they know their rep well enough or probably just ask for it.

If they could do this with a desktop but load it based on where your iOS device is then that'd be cool too. Granted, if you're at your desktop then I'd assume your iOS device is with you as well. But regardless, would be cool.

Text ads? What text ads?

Guessing this is a feature they are rolling out because I don't see Custom as an option yet on my Gmail nor my Google Apps account Theme page.

Good point. I did that on my iPad as a test but not my iPhone yet. I'll give that a try.

I thought so too but I wonder if somehow my calendar isn't appearing. Under "Calendars" inside the Calendar app all I have is my Google Apps calendar. I probably turned off the mobile me one since I want it synced with Google on my apps account.

This would royally piss me off. Granted I think it's a more common practice in the U.S. to have Sunday the first day of the week than maybe in Europe but it REALLY bugs me when I see a calendar with Sat/Sun together at the end of the week.

Not only multiple alarms (some allow for two per event) but why in the hell can I not invite a friend to an event on my calendar? I swear it was possible at one time but not sure if it was a Google Calendar I was using or what but now I can't.

Even taking into account the age of those maps I looked to see how they represented the border today and I looked at the top 4 online maps sites of Google, Yahoo, MapQuest and Bing. They all look at that differently and some seem to tak into account when there's a high tide and when there's a low tide, hence that

Are those maps you posted in regards to the Nicaragua and Costa Rica borders and where they meet the Caribbean Sea? I'm just trying to get some perspective as to where those maps are taken from.

Yes, I completely agree. I just found it funny to get two articles about attention to detail that are polar opposites of one another posted so close to each other.

Now playing

Yes simply because the level of detail Apple puts out into their devices as software dictates that there is NO reason something like this should have been allowed to get out.

Touche!

Both can't be "on the right", just sayin'...

Retina display, better camera, MUCH faster processor, faster graphics, better battery life. Just a few off the top of my head.

The new iPad isn't that great? I beg to differ. I have used all 3 extensively and the new iPad is by far and away superior to the other two.

One thing I am getting sick and tired of on Giz is the blatant non-non-bias (no, that's not a typo) of the writers. Just report the tech and leave the opinions to your readers.

I for one welcome the rocky mountains becoming beach-front property!
