The same reason we have Der Reichsprotektorate The Department of Homeland Security - fear of terrorism and terrorist attacks. France, which has a long and brutal history in the Middle East and a thick streak of Islamophobia that’s lasted to this day, has had a number of these over the last decade or so - the attack on

Not at ALL Surprising, Nilus....

Sadly, yeah - it was a clever way for the Right Wing to weaponize #MeToo. Odious, Hypocritical, Vile at a Level so Deep that if You Fell in You’d STILL Be Falling - but clever.

Annihilation was a Crazy B-Movie, with an A/A- List cast.

Evan Waters - I thought Annihilation was a Crazy B-Movie, with an A-List cast & VFX work.

not to mention the obviousness, clear to everyone but the far-right idiots trying to make hay out of Gunn’s former agent-provocateur routine, that he was making dumb jokes and not endorsing such behavior.

Which version? The 80s version that was an enjoyable SF action romp combined with some of the most anvilicious metaphors for living under Nazism ever (not even that much a metaphor, given how Leonardo Cimino’s Elderly Jewish Concentration Camp Survivor seems to be running The Anti-Visitor Resistance out of his

I mean directing a student film or independent short - like for the BBC’s “Well Done U” annual competition, in which British listeners produce

I though Lowe’s Benjamin Kane was supposed to have at least a decade on Cassandra, Wayne and Garth...?

Thanks, I will! The only actor I remember being in that is Aaron Eckhart...

Ah, there you have the advantage of me, CineCraft - when THE BOLD ONES aired, I was in West Germany watching old American sitcoms and GUNSMOKE dubbed into German, and listening to a lot of radio drama.

I can’t judge offhand, given we’re watching a trailer video presented in Portrait(?!?) Mode. I wonder if seeing this in Widescreen Landscape might make the sets and costumes look a bit less cheap...?

My wife and I both love Sarah Shahi (though clearly not as much as Steve Howey does!), and hoped against hope the show might have overcome the FACEPALM! of the premise by virtue of her being the title character.
