Had the show started with that, @Fancyarcher:disqus? Or even introduced it much earlier? Maybe it would have flown better - but here, it reeks of desperation…as did so many Big Deals in the CastleVerse.

Sure thing, Archmage!

Honestly, @disqus_DT8q1VdPN9:disqus ? My friends who watched it with me turned it off after 20 minutes, because the tonal shifts and violence were too much for them. Strangely, they love most of Vishal Bhardwaj's other movies - he's "The Shakespeare Guy" to them, and we all really enjoyed Maqbool, Omkara and Haider….

Yes, but the kittens are so CUTE!

And Haider, though I'm still not sure about his Ishqiya movies!

ROTFL, @Fancyarcher:disqus ! There are entire books written about just how well Harlan Ellison and Star Trek jelled (Hint - not at all!). "City at the Edge of Forever" was originally a brilliant two-parter that went completely off the rails, with the ENTERPRISE crew mutinying and other out-of-character stuff. Worse,

Wait till you get to Season 7 or 8, @Fancyarcher:disqus, where they turn Rick Castle into a P.I. - mostly because Fillion and Katic both wanted some time off, so that's what they came up with!

By Jupiter, you're right, @disqus_Z2d49Tcbkk:disqus !

Because if there's one thing Harlan Ellison is ALL about, it's the Franchises!

Weren't they both the same, @ancientshenanigan:disqus ?

Nooo, @Matthew_Blanchette:disqus! I just had a Bill Cosby flashback!

I was a married man without kids in the Nineties, and we had cats, anyway - any long-running series of cute cats playing sports?

::ashamedly shoved my eight-season boxed set of Castle under my desk:: I have no idea what you mean, @Fancyarcher:disqus …..

@disqus_DT8q1VdPN9:disqus - ::cough!:: Salman Khan - ! ::cough!::

Dalton deliberately underplayed the line, thinking he could make it less hokey if he did so. It turned out everybody expects the line reading to be a bit hokey, because that's what helps sell the catchphrase! Or - what happens when a serious actor plays a long-running comic-book style hero….

Didn't he ask Linda McMahon to be a member of his cabinet, @Velocirapstar:disqus ?

Newton added a much-needed touch of humor to a pretty dark movie, and it's a pity we didn't get to see him again, still conning everybody.

She's a lot better here than she was on Law & Order, that's for sure - most of the time, she looked like she just wanted to punch Sam Waterston, Steven Hill, or whoever else she was talking to….

Believe me, I know, @FakeSocks:disqus !

That's why License To Kill is one of my favorite 007 pictures - even accepting that it's less a "007 picture" than a "What If James Bond Went All Dirty Harry on Some Scumbag's Ass? picture". Unlike Harry Callahan, who is rarely shown to be much as an investigator (The Dead Pool, my favorite Dirty Harry movie, aside),
