Hey, @avclub-f9dc5c1b905401733b9aaf49c03c071d:disqus! I liked The Phantom!

It was pretty much all Frank Miller's show - he wrote and directed all by himself, using the techniques Robert Rodriguez developed for SIN CITY. He kept going on in interviews about how he was the "only right choice" to do it – I shudder to think what he considered a wrong choice!
Only good thing in THE SPIRIT, far as I'm concerned, was Stana Katic as a gum-chewing, big-gun shooting, eager young Bohunk cop. It was like BECKETT: THE EARLY YEARS….
@Chase - the one near Columbia? Because there was one in the Village, too….
Actually, @X - Bruegger's bagels aren't awful. While they aren't close to the standards of the best New York bagels, they're about as good as your average New York bagel - like the one you'd get with your coffee on your way to work unless you're VERY lucky.
@disqus_rb2Oab1Sv3:disqus - "Your premise can be impossible, it cannot be improbable."
@disqus_Fv6i8VbhSh:disqus - yes, as you can see, in honor of Pod People and our current President, I have changed by FB Avatar….
Jumping in late, but - mine is Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. I saw it with my wife and our best friend, and all three of us, huge fans of the Twin Peaks television series, walked out of the theater about forty-five minutes in.
Ebert's review was a putdown of absolute gold, @disqus_8pASCy43Wp:disqus. His closing paragraph, addressed to Rob Schneider, was so gloriously scathing I had it as my Facebook Quote for a while.
@castletonsnob:disqus - it stars NIck Swardson, who I use to see gurning relentlessly on the edges of these pages before I installed an ad blocker. Between that and the interminable ads for The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, I would have to have Swardson and David Cross fight a deathmatch to decide…
@michaelweyer:disqus - I'm sorry.
Why do you hate Montreal, @Philippe Gosselin:disqus ? I've been there a couple times and it seems lovely.
Well, Anthony Bourdain did a segment on Montreal bagels, @imc440:disqus - so at least one New Yorker knew about them!
I didn't grow up in NYC so I'd be reluctant to judge Absolute Bagels as the "best", @chase:disqus - but they certainly belong in the pantheon.
No reason to leave over the AV Club's food coverage, @sdcr1121:disqus - just ignore it, the same way I ignore game and music coverage.
POD PEOPLE - that tells you if you get the show, or don't.
And don't forget Pandora's Jug!
Oh, do you mean "Slam Iscariot!"' @Mr. Greene?
@avclub-17ffa8fad012a66eba508715ad0fec7a:disqus - I'll bring the popcorn and NA beer.
I meant the US and the UK, @DavidHolt:disqus .
