Okay, who do I owe a Generic Cola-Flavored Beverage to for saying "Make 'Em Laugh!" is a ripoff of "Be a Clown" first…?

@grampton_st_rumpterfrabble:disqus and @Matthew_Blanchette:disqus - the only two-strip Technicolor movie I can remember seeing is Mystery of the Wax Museum - though again Wikipedia shows me a number of color movies including musicals, a few of which have even survived to the present!

Did they, @Matthew_Blanchette:disqus ? I mean, I know they had Kinemacolor (an early two-strip color process) as early as 1908, and two-strip Technicolor was being used in the mid-late Twenties, but I don't think I've ever seen a two-strip Technicolor musical from the early sound era.

It was Kelly indulging his desire to do High Art Dance (ballet crossed with modern dance) again, @grampton_st_rumpterfrabble:disqus - and at least when he and Cyd Charisse are dancing together it all works. The rest of it looks more like Gene Kelly paying homage to the Bugs Bunny cartoon "What's Up, Doc?", where

It's - interesting, @disqus_KMKe0tqoWs:disqus .

No, no, @Matthew_Blanchette:disqus - he's the shortstop!

@disqus_C3NCCQXPya:disqus - I did one short grind with the "Himalayan Pink Salt" (given it's Price Chopper's store brand, I doubt that salt ever got anywhere near the Himalayas!) grinder we've had around for nearly a decade, and it was fine - just a vague but definite flavor boost.

@avclub-86a9ac7667ec45a86614223897b4f765:disqus - lately, I've mostly been buying California Olive Ranch brand, also at Wegman's. It's the brand that most consistently comes up as "genuine Extra Virgin Olive Oil" on lists that came out in the wake of EVOOGate - along with most of the people writing about it saying

Yeah, I saw that when I went back today, @roc_kit:disqus! It wasn't there when I linked it the other day, so this must be a very recent update.

We made a few jokes about "Spice" from Dune, @mrimmyowngrandfather:disqus - I guess the notifications algorithm went "Good 'Nuff!"

@disqus_iKbCL0flPE:disqus - as with CSI, a cel phone that can take a high-res photo of a fingerprint capable of being used to identify somebody from it is close enough to "Day-After-Tomorrow" tech that I could accept the FBI just might have them and issue them to their field Agents.

Huh, @Fastfreddy666:disqus and @Knowles222 - so science has finally caught up with CSI!

I didn't remember Herbert putting all that in one quote, @avclub-6e87bfc5ac7ef7ef7ef092edc06c3bb6:disqus - so I figured Lynch pulled it together from a number of places, and made it into a litany.

@avclub-cb10f554d73e40f723febf42a006a887:disqus - I haven't had a drink in over thirty years, but when I drank I used to love gin. The problem is the type of gin you get - Tanqueray and Bombay Sapphire are quite good with both martinis and G&Ts (which my wife still drinks), but I don't care WTF anybody tells you,

@avclub-ae1846aa63a2c9a5b1d528b1a1d507f7:disqus - thank you for the clarification! All I know is none of us liked bourbon vanilla - I didn't realize is was a way of extraction.

I put Saigon Cinnamon in mine after it's made to balance my blood sugar, @avclub-8d2583b317ce1bd4962cec8605c5676a:disqus - and yes, it does make it taste better in addition to the health benefits.

Naw, @avclub-62812d8eb06386505986efff8b5e43ac:disqus - it was having Billy and Stephen as kid brothers!

@disqus_C3NCCQXPya:disqus - thank you for that tip!

@avclub-15d496c747570c7e50bdcd422bee5576:disqus - that surprises me, because the time my wife and I went to London, we had great breakfasts! Maybe it was just our hotel had a really good morning chef (who made great Full Irish Breakfasts!), and since we stayed in Knightsbridge those days we didn't eat in (for our own
