I kind of doubt they would concentrate on consoles so much as to do that. VALVe is mostly know for PC games, now yes I know there are a lot of VALVe games on consoles but they look pretty much the same as the PC (Unless you do some crazy stuff like supreme highdef or what ever the "Cool Leet" PC kids use)

I think VALVe should just half ass it then release it. Then we will see why they actualy take their time.

I think Valve has released plenty of information regarding the next half life, If I remember correctly they said it would be a long wait than the wait for half life 2 and episode 1
