I've owned a lot of gaming handhelds over the years and I have loved them to death, but recently I've mostly been using my iPhone for on the go gaming. It's just more convenient for me, and I'm sure someone who got an iPod touch or iPhone or equivalent, finds it convenient as well.

Yes, we didn't get the second ace attorney game because of Capcom saying that the last game didn't sell well enough, and that localizing the game would cost money.
