There's a plugin that allows you to bypass Origin altogether when playing Battlefield 3 and 4. And this is for the retail version, not pirated versions.

If you buy the game digitally from Xbox Live and it is removed later on, you still have access to it. That's why I'm still able to download and play Double Dragon and the original version of TMNT the arcade game, as they are no longer available.
