Yep. Authenticator FTW.

Ever been to the Sons of Guns shop? I'm sure that'd be a killer shop to check out.

Haha I suppose so. ;)

Of course. He's part of the Apple cult, and doesn't realize the more expensive Apple display has zero advantages over the UltraSharp, in addition to far fewer connection options.

I used that for a long time, we still have a fair number of those in our developer pairing stations. They are fantastic displays. I am on the U2410DP now, which is equally awesome!

Spoken like a clueless noob who clearly has never used an UltraSharp before.

I love my 520! Amazing drive, well worth the price, IMO.

That's true, but SLC's are not even remotely practical for consumer applications, given their prohibitive cost. About the only applications where it is practical to use SLC would be for heavy-workload servers with very high IOPS.

No reason you can't clone them. It's no different than cloning any other drive, really.

Do you really need ~1GB/sec of throughput? Much of the benefit from SSD's comes from the nearly instant access time and the fact that you don't have to wait for the drive heads to physically seek the data across different platters. Generally TRIM doesn't work as well in RAID configurations as well (it actually wasn't

There are a variety of 1.8" SSD's available, actually. They don't take nearly the performance hit with the smaller form factor that conventional drives do. We have some Dell XT/XT2 tablets here at work and the performance difference between the 1.8" conventional drives and the 1.8" SSD's is absolutely absurd.

I've done that myself using Symantec Ghost with zero issues. Just make sure that you clone the entire drive and not just the partition.

I would also throw in that it typically provides a SIGNIFICANT boost to battery life on a laptop when switching from a conventional HDD to an SSD.

It is enabled by default in Windows 7 and Windows 8 as well.

I'd probably throw in that it's really not worthwhile for most people to store media (pictures, videos, etc) on your SSD, as throughput and access time is rarely a big concern for such files, unless you are doing real-time video editing or something of that nature. OS, Games, and Programs are really the only things

Yea...pretty certain anyone that can afford a $1M vacuum doesn't vacuum the floor themselves, thus negating the need to buy one. I doubt they would entrust their maids using a $1M vacuum. Really makes you wonder how much replacement parts cost too. It is rather perplexing that someone actually thought this was a sound

She reminds me of Marie Antoinette.

Whatever you say, crazy.

I don't know that anyone could ever legitimately confuse the Galaxy Nexus with ANY iPhone. They don't look very similar.

You're thinking of the Motorola Droid, I think? This case is against Samsung, not all Android phone makers. Apple isn't suing Motorola over the Droid, because they'd lose in a heartbeat. No one could ever possibly confuse the two devices. The Galaxy S on the other hand is far more similar. I personally despise Apple's
