Three consoles (PS3, 360 and PSP) and way, way too much software...I bought or was given basically every major release this year.

Metal Gear Solid 4. It's long, flawed and tedious in places, but no other game ever made makes you feel the way it does.

I'll be playing 'Fix Xbox Live'. But apart from that, Crackdown, Tomb Raider Underworld and maybe Prince of Persia if my order arrives.

I always thought of it more as an incompetent father-figure/overly responsible child relationship. Add Snake as the grumpy old grandpa and Campbell as the annoying uncle who shows up without being invited...I smell a sitcom brewing here!

As much Gears 2 as I can handle, broken up with Rock Band 2 and a bit of LBP.

I'll never forget that first moment with Sonic and the killer whale. It was happier time. Also, literally hundreds of hours of Soul Calibur (100% completion!) and great times with Powerstone. That game really needs a new sequel.

Being a Brit, I've never actually read EGM, but I still think this would be sad, as I like the guys over at Ziff Davis, and a magazine closure would almost certainly mean layoffs.
