That old rotten "canon" absolutely needed to be hacked away with extreme prejudice if the series was ever going to be salvaged. There was nothing worse than the convoluted pile of shit that the EU had evolved into after a couple of decades of hack writers spewing their bullshit out over countless books, comics, etc.

I think the only thing that is more tired and unoriginal than all the recent Hollywood remakes, sequels and rehashes is having to listen to the people who still complain about them.

And it's actually the same actress that played the younger version of her in the deleted scenes from Episode 3.

Despite having seen the pure idiocy of Man of Steel I still don't know if even Zack Snyder is capable of making a movie that is dumb enough to capture the true essence of Ayn Rand. Maybe he could get Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci to help him with the script.

Dawn of the Dead was written by James Gunn. I think that a quick glance at their track record since then can give one a pretty clear idea of which of them was probably more responsible for that movie not being total garbage.

In other words it will fit in perfectly with the previous two films?

You know, it almost sounds like this idea might be colossally dumb…

I'm sure this will join Hobgoblins 2 in the hall of… I don't know. Poop?

Yes, a million times yes.

There was talk a few years ago of doing a Jaws remake as a comedy with Tracy Morgan as Hooper, but THANK GOD nothing came of it. I love Tracy Morgan, but I'm sure that would have been as awful as this new Ghostbusters looks.

The idea of "clones" and the Clone Wars came from the first Star Wars movie, so that brief line wasn't necessarily a reference to the prequels any more than it was a reference to the original film. And Ewan McGregor's "cameo" was audio only, and consisted of just a single word layered so deeply into a sound mix that

I've watched more than a few prequel fan edits over the years, and all they've done is make me believe firmly that it is impossible to salvage anything watchable from those movies. No matter what you might be able to cut from them the result will still be saturated with the real problems with the movies. Bad

You think I'm stopping there?!

Shhhhh!!! If people keep saying this kind of shit, and the general population actually wises up to what a fucking absolutely horrible idea it is to rely only on the whims of some random streaming service to provide them with access all their favorite music (and movies) then how am I going to be able to keep buying

You seem to be mistaking your subjective opinion with absolute fact, and your experiences with other fans as the definitive experiences of everyone else on the planet. They aren't. A majority of the people I've talked to over the years about this movie that didn't like it would only ever talk about it in terms of

Obviously when I said "an attempt at doing a theatrical version of that kind of X-Files episode" I simply meant an attempt at doing a movie with a story that wasn't tied into the alien conspiracy mythology, which is exactly what it was. What you are doing is projecting your subjective opinion of the story's quality

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. This movie has always been way underrated by dummies who just wanted more of the same old X-Files messily cobbled together alien conspiracy bullshit. That overarching "mythology" storyline was such a mess by the end of the series that I think any attempt to bring it back into a

Yeah I've been reading comics, including Suicide Squad, since the 80's so you aren't telling me anything I don't know, but we aren't talking about the comics, we are talking about the MOVIES. When it comes to the GotG MOVIE Marvel did it first. They risked a lot by choosing to sink a ton of money into a big budget

Making GotG absolutely was a big risk for Marvel. They took a group of obscure characters that no one outside of some hardcore comic book fans gave a shit about or even knew about at all, and they hired a weirdo who had previously only made small budget weirdo cult films (great movies, but nothing like the big budget

Ah yes, because "triple platinum" is the most "punk" thing ever.
