“Memento has been consistently ranked as one of the best films of its decade. People who’ve seen Memento 10 times still feel they need to see it one more time,” says AMBI “anchor investor” Andrea Iervolino. “This is a quality that we feel really supports and justifies a remake.”

Thank you to the AV Club and the author of this article for giving me new perspective on what the term "desperately grasping at straws" can really mean.

Oh come on now. That's nothing compared to "this is such a drag".

Hey, at least we know for sure that C-3PO is all man. And I've got the trading card to prove it.

This is almost as embarrassing as that time that Henry Winkler said "Ayyyyy!" to that crowd at the home appliance distributor convention and the DJ accidentally started playing the theme to "What's Happening?".

So wait, does this mean that those "laser swords" I saw them selling at the dollar store are actual Star Wars toys endorsed by George Lucas himself?

In Australia they call them "chazzwazzers".

Wait, is Fox News advocating the redistribution of Star Wars tickets? Those fucking commies!

"China calls in entire $95 trillion US debt. All US citizens ages 14 to 50 conscripted to serve in Chinese army. President Jenna Bush says 'We are proud to serve our Chinese overlords in any way we can'"

That feeling wasn't just in the 80's. Pretty much all the way from the 1950's through to the early 1990's people lived with that same uncertainty. People don't forget that during the 80's we still had nuclear war hanging over our heads, it's just that the 50's and 60's were so much worse that by the 80's it was

Hilarious.

Just the simple idea of imagining what would happen to an astronaut during a massive catastrophe in orbit such as the one shown in Gravity is pure science fiction. It doesn't matter that it took place in what would appear to be modern day with modern (and in the case of the Space Shuttle even outdated) technology.

Based on what he usually says about any remakes, etc. of his films I'd guess his thoughts are probably along the lines of "ca-ching!"

To be fair they probably wouldn't have much of a case against the Metal Gear games anyway. Solid Snake is an homage in all the most acceptable ways. The influence is obvious, but it's just that, an influence that was taken and turned into something different and new. Solid Snake himself doesn't actually wear an eye

The guy has directed TV commercials, so I don't think it's a huge surprise that he might occasionally be interested in making some money. And I can't see him just doing any old shitty Christmas movie just to make some quick cash, so I doubt he'd do one unless he actually had a good idea for it, so it would probably

Funny thing about a person being the kind of asshole who doesn't care if they ruin someone's ability to experience something that they enjoy, such as watching an episode of a TV series they like, by spoiling important plot points ahead of time, such as the death of an important character… they are still assholes

What the fuck are you talking about? The show just aired two days ago. It's perfectly reasonable to think that people have fucking lives to live, and so sometimes that means they can't sit down and watch a TV show they like when it airs or even within the first couple of days after it's on. So if you can't see the

The zombies are just professional enough to know to stay quiet when they aren't on camera.

It couldn't have been more obvious that something weird was up. When has this show ever shied away from milking any character death for all it's worth? They aren't going to have the death of a character as important as Glen be this vague and open ended unless they have something else big planned to really squeeze

In my most hopeful moments I truly believe that in the future Ayn Rand and her objectivist bullshit will be treated with the same sense of revulsion and disgust that we now have for eugenics.
