The PSP has horrifyingly slow load times and while the UMD disks were cheaper than flash, the disc reader is expensive and takes up a lot of space in the device. Not only that, but they were read only so you had to buy Sony's really expensive memory sticks (that cost twice as much as SD cards without any advantages

I would like to point out that "midnight 19th september" was technically this morning as Midnight is when the new day starts. To better cover their asses they should have said 12:00 AM Tuesday or 0:00 Tuesday. There's no mistaking either of those formats.

Where were half of these games in the summer when I had nothing to play?

You really expect them to make the mistake of using a mini optical drive twice? UMD's were a bad idea that Sony just wants to forget ever happened. Hopefully they will have some kind of trade in program where you can send in your UMD's and get a download code for those games.

I was hoping it was because in Japan they don't like stupid "press these buttons in the right order to win" games but apparently they like those too.

mklink /j "destination" "source" makes a symlink. I use these to keep my steam games on my regular hard drive and some of them on my SSD.

hit the start button and start typing. It works the same, just looks different, taking you to the metro screen instead of a start menu

Did the Sega Master System really take that long to boot?

Most of the good games in that pack won't play well on a modern PC.

That's not like any LAN party I've been to recently. My friends and I have them all the time and in the past 3 years I've only seen one MBP show up and not a single netbook.

I had the good fortune of visiting all the places Ezio did in ACII and ACB this summer. The really cool part was I did this after I scored both games for dirt cheap in the Steam Summer Sale and beat them days before I flew over there.

It kills SMS. That's a good thing.

Google Talk on Android does the same thing, only it works everywhere, not just Apple devices.

If it were up to me they would all be twice as thick and have those buckling spring keys you find in those old IBM Model M keyboards.

I don't understand you, Gizmodo. One minute you're trash talking all Android tablets saying they suck and the next minute you're touting the Galaxy Tab 10.1 as one of the best tablets money can buy.

Well less than 4% of my web browsing goes to porn so I'm not in the least bit surprised.

On a more serious note, I played a ton of Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force when I was a kid. It's still a fantastic, Quake-style game with a small but active community.

Quake is great for children.

How is it thanks to MS?

I find my Android tablet far more usable than any iPad I've ever used.
