I knew it! I've traveled back in time to the 20th century! Can you tell me which decade I'm in?
@armand1880: I think the problem is that, on the Wii, there isn't much market for these types of games. Most people who like these games get them on Xbox, PS3 or PC. Plus, the Wii versions are rarely as good as the "hardcore" console and PC versions.
@RockyRan: I partially agree with you. Sometimes in a map it's just not obvious that something can open or that you need to go one way or the other.
@RunningWildVidya: Doom was retarded and didn't have mouselook. If you play Doom today using one of the open source descendants of its engine they all include mouselook.
@Dave Marseilles: I've played Quake 3 and ST Elite Force competitively. I've also played a lot of Conduit. While the IR remote is fun for shooters, it doesn't afford the accuracy that the mouse does. The mouse rests on a table and can be held still much more easily. It also lacks any kind of physical boundaries. You…
@Goopplesoft: They still sell film?
@Striderhayasa - Can we get some damn m/kb support?!: Really, mouse and keyboard too cumbersome?
@Revenge_of_Nekojin: I play boatloads of indie titles on my PC.
PC users:
@prestonspark: It's the grenade and melee buttons
How am I supposed to do this on PC?
@RunningWildVidya: I thought it sucked ass. People would try to get me to play it, and I hated it because of the controls.
@Dave Marseilles: Someone obviously has never used a mouse and keyboard.
@bakana: Being one of those WASD+Mouse junkies, I actually preferr twin sticks to the wii remote and pointer. It just lacks the speed and accuracy.
@Faux Bravo: If you have a PC and Half-Life 2 you can get Goldeneye Source for free. It's a remake of the multiplayer portion of the original Goldeneye.
@rainofwalrus: Yeah I thought Goldeneye sucked. Halo was the first playable FPS on a console (thanks to the twin sticks) and even that doesn't come close to a mouse and keyboard.
@b-radicate: I've played shooters on the Wii (like Conduit) and it has nothing on the precision and reaction time of real controls. It takes longer to move your whole hand that to twitch your finger and it take much longer to shake the remote an to press a melee button.
