That Cynthia Rothrock has not been cast in one of the actual Expendables films (as opposed to the dreadful Mercenaries) is a goddamn crime.

Everyone remembers his scene in the speedo in Casino Royale and he fills out a tux nicely, but Daniel Craig -- and I say this with love and admiration -- has the face of a bouncer at a Brixton nightclub.

As long as your films stay under budget and reliably make a bit of money, a complete lack of taste or talent is no impediment to a long and uninterrupted career as a maker of nearly-direct-to-streaming turd piles.

I don’t think there’s anything to add to this.  May we all live and die as well as she did.

Although it does continue the through-line of “we’re just gonna gloss over the time you mind-raped an entire city for like a month” from the series so you can’t accuse them of not paying attention to their own continuity.

So it’s gonna be a little awkward that Doctor Who went out of its way to drop John Barrowman based on substantially less assaultive behavior, when Noth is almost certainly going to be the marquee guest star of the upcoming New Years special which wrapped filming months ago now.

It’s an underappreciated miracle that Homecoming — a film with something like 67 credited screenwriters and an equally long list of corporate sponsors, product placements and continuity-maintaining requirements for both the MCU and Sony’s off-brand Venom-verse pictures managed to be, by and large, really quite good.

Yeah, I think that’s about the age when it becomes possible to develop something approximating critical discernment. I saw Krull in the theaters for my 10th birthday, hyped to within an inch of my life.  I walked out having learned a hard lesson about reading reviews first.
