You left out a couple of adjectives that absolutely clarify why that’s the case:
“biracial” (Hostin) and “white” (McCain).

Yep, this right here. Even if you take any racial component out of it (you shouldn’t, I’m just making a point) it’s still assault on a child, arguably with a Deadly Weapon. So, at a minimum, that’s AwaDW; then, it’s racist AF.
I have several things that are “must-haves” for my next car purchase. One of them is CarPlay, which is at least becoming nearly-ubiquitous. What I really want, however, is wireless CarPlay and Qi wireless charging. I want to be able to put my phone down in the car and have it charge and CarPlay without any further…
I live in the Bham area now, and some of us are trying not to be Alabama stereotypes.
1985 here. Unfortunately the 959 started in ‘86, the F40 in ‘87, and while I love the Countach I’d much rather have an earlier model without as many... accoutrements on the outside of it.
So I think I’ll have to go with a 928.
The catch with a permanent drydock is that the ship has to be structurally sound enough to support its own weight in that drydock. That was one of the big questions about deciding to do that with USS Texas. It would probably be best to build a cofferdam around her like Alabama and North Carolina to ease repairs, but…
My family had a manual Aerostar when I was very young. The transmission crapped out more than once, and my dad always had to argue with mechanics that didn’t believe that it had a manual, until they saw the shift lever. I remember that thing breaking down one time literally on the way home from the shop.
“I don’t understand why people are so mad at me for flying a Confederate flag. It’s just showing off my heritage and I don’t mean anything racist by it” - This guy, probably. (this guy = Donohue)
You’re right, they shouldn’t be shooting at all. My point was not that, it was that the officer didn’t try anything before lethal force, including “shoot to wound”.
You’re absolutely right, that’s difficult, and it could be fatal. But, to me, it’s still worth trying everything else before “shoot to kill”, perhaps including “shoot to wound” (if you’re going to draw the gun in the first place which I’m not necessarily saying should be done here).
EVEN IF she was about to stab the other girl. EVEN IF.
I’m laughing down this list, but that last one with an accented E is killer.
“I can’t believe this site covers Apple a lot!” - comment on tech website.
I think for this I’d have put in two identical orange squares and labeled one as the one the DOT didn’t want, and the other as the proposed new color.
“Like GameStop, there is something obviously outdated, obviously doomed about Hertz’s business model.”
I watched this video, and one thing I noticed is this: Mr. Marshall was very, very lucky not to get shot. The “unnamed deputy” was wearing shooting glasses the whole time. He’s a cowboy sheriff, ready to take out any of the heinous criminals (aka brown people) that threaten our society, and I am actually surprised…
It’s not really separate. They must convict with a 2/3 majority. Then they can pass a judgment. The judgment is almost always going to include removal from office, and if that requires its own vote and with what majority, I don’t know. I do know that being barred from future office is a separate, but subsequent and…
The House passes articles of impeachment, which are sent to the Senate for trial. If he’s convicted by a 2/3 majority, the Senate can then, in addition, vote to ban him from future public office, a vote which only requires a simple majority.
I am proud of Georgia for saving us from keeping Mitch in the SML office any longer. I am ashamed for my fellow Alabamians that we elected a seditious former mediocre football coach into office, but at least Georgia has all of our backs, even when we don’t deserve it. Thank you Georgians for doing the right thing in…
Your statement doesn’t include the effect of decades of district manipulation and gerrymandering. Record Dem. turnout doesn’t mean much if the system is rigged towards a minority-rule party by that party.
