Well, California is already going after big rigs, they are seeking an EPA waiver to implement a ban on medium and heavy-duty diesels by 2036, They better get it by Jan, 19, 2025, or all bets are off. It appears this ban would also require an EPA waiver, so it may be a moot point.
Coal Rollers rejoice, Trump is in the house...EPA will be scrapped and you will roam the streets with impunity
For things to go after this seems like an odd one, I bet very few see more than 5k miles a year. They pop up on marketplace pretty regularly with very few miles, I can’t see this having any effect on the environment vs commercial vehicles. The only positive potential would be for manufacturers to redesign the drive…
Yup, I’d file this under “don’t you have bigger problems”. Maybe it’s just virtue signaling.
It’s an outrage! there is nothing on earth that improves the great outdoors like the clouds of diesel exhaust pouring from a slow moving, stuck in traffic RV as it ponderously blocks traffic and slowly crawls ahead in an endless ant-column of vehicles all wanting to see the glory of our state and national park system.
That $250K Class A now comes with a $5K service charge that gives it it’s own post office box and company registration in Montana.
The lack of critical thinking of these MAGA morons is astounding. They will scream all day about having their freedom, but see no problem shitting all over other people who are simply enjoying their own freedom to get around on/in anything other than what they like.
And just think that these are the same people complaining that the economy is in the toilet and they can’t afford anything anymore.
This is also a list of vehicles you can break into and steal a gun from in most instances, if you are a criminal. Especially the big ass truck crowd with thin blue line and punisher sticker shit.
No. You’re good.
How about the 55 mpg “Chevrolet” (Suzuki) Sprint I had in 1985? I drove it off the dealer lot for $5500 and drove it for 220,000 trouble-free miles before giving it to a family member.
Honestly, it’s not that far off an NP. Five, maybe - MAYBE - six grand, pending inspection. But $8k is too much of a reach. For eight grand, it better be dang near perfect.
I worked in service at a VW dealer in the 80's. I was writing up a Rabbit diesel for a laundry list of repairs and an enthusiastic owner willing to spend the money said, “Well, I want to keep it going because they don’t make them anymore.” Without missing a beat, the VW technician next to me says, “There’s a reason…
A friend in college had one of these, and it was virtually unkillable. (Although he did manage it through EXTREME neglect of even basic maintenance.) It got us around, but $8K is crazypants for this. I fear some diesel fumes are entering the cabin, making this seller a bit confused about how numbers work. ND, even…
ND adorable little car not of much use and how safe is an econobox built in 1976?
We just got a 2025 Honda Passport on Tom’s recommendation. We had been shopping for a 4Runner, but availability and price were not great. It has a ton of storage space, lots of amenities (and even more in the Black Edition for around $50k) and isn’t super duper massive. AWD is standard and it can tow 5000 lb. We ended…
Seems to be a lot of corporations shooting themselves in the foot these days (I’m looking at you, Washington Post). Ford really blew it for me — I’m enjoying my first Ford ever — a 2022 Maverick — and giving them a pass on the long list of little recalls. It’s clear that Ford builds a better, more thought-out truck…
Because the average Jalop is young and poor and has no idea at all what it is like to be in your 50's, peak of a good career, no mortgage, no student loan debt, no kids at home, etc. So they can’t begin to understand the concept of buying a toy car just because you want the silly thing.
