As a Southerner, I put butter, salt, and pepper on my grits (sometimes cheese, too). But as a child I’d sweeten them with cane syrup or honey. It’s all good!
In my mind, true grits are made from hominy—corn that has been soaked in an alkaline solution (a process called nixtalmalization)...Though you can technically make grits from un-nixtamalized corn, I don’t see the point.
So I really want to know what kind of testing has been done and by who. Do the airlines know for sure ? Are they just suspicious, but too lazy to do actual testing ? Are the airlines waiting for someone else to fund testing ? (I honestly don’t know)
