Yeah, but it appears that the article is wrong and that the “sleeper door” is really just an access panel in a fairing to give the driver access to the trailer connections. Jalopnik should correct it.

Been there.

That is what GM calls a “peecondition” button on an EV.

Other than the “X2" that button is identical to the “precondition” button on my Chevy Bolt. It warms up the interior (or cools it) before you get in.

On the key fob for my Bolt, there is a button that looks a lot like that to “precondition” the car. There is also a similar button in the “key fob” part of the myChevrolet app for the car.

Given the rest of what he said, I think it’s pretty clear that he meant to say that the dream team never fails to win by at least 20.

The law is wrong. I have never stopped on an on-ramp and have never made someone stop on one and I never will. I also always make sure that I’m at the speed of traffic when I merge.

Maybe you’re driving like an entitled douche. The two lanes are merging. Worry less about who is the peasant trying to merge into the lane that you are entitled to hog and try to make it possible for the people in the other lane to do that safely and you’ll cause fewer accidents and be less likely to be reincarnated

And that law is stupid. The right of way should be determined to promote safety. It’s not a moral right of those on the freeway to endanger the livea of those entering. If the nose your car is going to be even a foot behind the nose of the other car when the lanes merge, you need to make room. Becaise you can see

Personally, I always yield to the car in front at the time the lanes merge in all merges and demand the same from other motorists. This works out as the zipper merge in slower traffic and prevents accidents at on-ramps.  Most drvers seem to understand this no matter what the law says.

For the infrequent occassions, when it might be handy to have more range than my EV provides, I'd prefer a simple gasoline (or propane) generator on my trailer.  Seriously.  $10,000 with of batteries to use one or twice a year send like a waste.

Actually, oil is used to make plastics because it’s cheap. You can make long-chain hydrocarbons and polymers out of carbon dioxide, water, and electic power if you want.  Methane is easy.  Ethylene isn’t hard.  From there, you can do the rest if you want.

I’m pretty sure Mark wasn't trying to say that those are bad things.

How is it a pissy hit piece to call the guy out when he’s spewing total BS? Did you actually read that story as believe that a) there’s suddenly a shortage of car haulers that isn’t bothering Accuand b) Tesla was suddenly going to start building something that has basically zero on common with any of it’s products?

Yeah, but can you make it so inefficient at using space that it fills an enormous engine bay?

Because making small things take up a ton of space and avoiding storage space are good things? The “engine” compartment on that thing is massive. What on Earth did they do to make the drive unit r take up so much space?

So, they dedide to put the electric drive unit where an ICEV’s engine would go to aid in using their existing factories to build the BEV. And it took up as much space as an ICE because... how? Look, my Bolt has no Frunk, but it also doesn’t have a massive hood/engine compartment sticking out in front of it. I still

It’s probably more accurate to say he doesn’t give a shit if bit kills them, rather than that he seeks their early deaths, but generally: duh.

W was a bad president who started a stupid war that killed hundreds of thousands, but other than that he was basically a decent human being. Trump’s selling points to his voters are his xenophobic and racist hatred, his dishonesty, his bullying, and his ability to annoy smart and decent people by taking the factually
