Yeah, specifically apparently SAG-AFTRA was asking for 2% of revenue from streaming and the AMPTP said “that’s unreasonable.” Forgive me, but I seem to recall most actors’ backend deals are waaaaaaaaaaaaay higher than 2%! Bruce Willis took 14% on The Sixth Sense IIRC (on gross! not net!)...

That sound delicious!

Delicious as it might be, though, that version takes the deft hand of a skilled pitmaster, and I needed something more approachable. I needed a McRib I could make in my own Paradise: my backyard.

I loved the hell out of the game.  Also, the gate was way worse than the bird for me...  :p

I found the Sweet and Spicy Jam to have a spicier-aftertaste than I expected — I also found the actual jam-like consistency surprising, but dug it.

We know from the trailers that Jonathan Majors is going to come back as another version of Kang, but it’s telling that Loki didn’t do that in season two’s premiere episode. This is a show about Loki, sometimes more than one Loki, and it just wouldn’t be appropriate if the God Of Mischief was wasting time worrying

I do think, though, that the showrunners for both WandaVision and Loki had very clear visions of what they wanted to do AND had the benefit of existing (and well-loved) characters in the franchise.

It’s tempting to interpret this as Marvel Studios finally recognizing its faults and acknowledging that its attempt to turn its Disney+ shows into stretched-out movies was a failure, but Marvel’s TV shows weren’t failures until Marvel decided they were failures—which is to say this thing happening right now—and it

I actually didn’t know that, wow...  that might have changed the fortunes of two massively successful shows.  o.O

Yeah, that description made me go “whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?”

I was extremely surprised last night to want to check out Diamondbacks/Dodgers after my wife went to bed, plugging that in on Roku to see what was available, and seeing MAX...  seemed super weird.

I’ve lived in NYC my whole life and I can confidently express that Pizza Express is just fine in the UK.  I might feel differently if I lived there full-time, but every time I was in the UK for work and went there, it was fine.

They were totally fine in managing whatever the relationship was when their husbands worked all day and they saw them briefly in the morning and a little at night most days...  but then when they retired, they weren’t as big a fan...

Yeah, that’s the story I heard from a lot of my mom’s age-cohort:  “I married for better or worse, but not for lunch...”

Yeah, that was such a well-played moment of quiet, internal panic. Like “Oh shit, her master was who?!? We’re screwwwwwwwed...”

Yeah, I was tangentially familiar with Mortis from the CW (yet another thing I would have hated, like tWbW, time travel, etc.) — but I have no recollection of Abeloth’s connection from Legends EU, thanks for the heads-up!

Screenwriter Lindsey Beer promised Star Trek 4 is “still on the tracks” during a recent interview with Collider.

Abeloth was the stepmother for the Mortis gods, so I guess there is kind of a link there.

Speaking of his deal, what is he up to?? To basically sacrifice Shin to do it and not really pursue Ahsoka or Ezra, it has to be huge. There’s nothing in the old lore that would really qualify, and it being a different galaxy kind of narrows any insight we’d have into it.

So, I’ll answer this honestly: ordinarily, the answer should always be “I’m on the kids side,” but as a child of a horrible divorce, my natural inclination to see one side pulling stunts (and, because rich, coordinating with tabloids to try and push a narrative) to proclaim them as a great parent — is typically they
