I don’t like either of his Clancy movies, but I like him better in Clear and Present Danger.
C’mon, in no fucking way is Clear and Present Danger a better Ford movie than The Empire Strikes Back.
I really think the writers are laying [space] seeds to tell us the story of the Temporal Wars. It might even be their method of crossing over SNW, Lower Decks, Discovery Season 5, Section 31, and hopefully Star Trek: Legacy.
Nope, absolutely my thought as well — she needed to let La’an know, basically as soon as she met her, that she had a place in Vermont, in order to make sure that the temporal loop was closed properly.
Not gonna lie — Voyager wasn’t my thing (it was my wife’s thing); probably at the bottom of my Trek viewing lists.
THANK YOU!
The suits covering for any ‘feminist’ connection. The company sounds worried about possible right wing social commenters complaining about the ‘woke’ representation.
One of the more pleasant recent surprises how much Dermot Mulroney is really, really pro-labor. And using his Secret Invasion press tour to spread the word on WGA and SAG=AFTRA strikes.
I will say — though I largely agree with you — they were pretty deft in handling Kirk in S1, so they get some leeway. As well as La’an (in specific) thirsting for Kirk is fucking hilarious...
I took that to mean she was doing it post-Infinity War, keeping the peace in a galaxy rife with chaos after The Snap.
but Carol just fucked off into space and has been apparently doing not much of anything for a couple decades.
Pour one out for one of my most favorite summer refreshment drinks. Tart, not too sweet, and ridiculously thirst quenching...
All I know is that Voyager was my least favorite Trek series, and I didn’t have the same attachment to Janeway that my wife did (Voyager is to her as Deep Space Nine is to me, though I grew up on TOS-reruns on WPIX) -- but damn if I didn’t cry over a friggin’ hologram at the end of S1...
WHAT. THE FUCK?!?
It’s not quite my favorite of the novels, but it’s probably in the top-5 (and I do own the original paperback). It’s really, really good... I was wary after the Shatner Trek novels, but Robinson had a better feel for what he was doing with the character vs. Gary Stuing the hell out of everything.
So, also one of the things I wonder about is how the previous GOP’s administration affected food safety / FDA / EPA rules. And I’m saying this without any knowledge of what may have changed (if anything), but anecdotally I’d spent a bunch of time in Hong Kong and China over the years prior to COVID (2012/13 - 2020).
Despite last night’s progress, the Tony Awards still haven’t taken it a step further in the way that the Film Independent Spirit Awards, the Gotham Awards, and more have by digressing from gendered categories altogether. Both Ghee and Newell ran in actor-specific categories (although Newell has previously opined:…
You’re lucky I’m old enough to get that reference! :)
