Indiana is Chicago in the northwest corner, moderate to liberal Indianapolis in the middle, college towns in West Lafayette and Bloomington, and Kentucky everywhere else.

To be clear, Indianapolis has a Democratic mayor and council.

Indianapolis can be a pretty great city. It remains, however, surrounded by the rest of the state.

When he asked if that black woman if she was that guy’s wife I held my breath. I mean, there hadn’t been any indictation (that I saw) that they were together other than black + black. And like fuck you picking two people and making fun of names that were clearly cultural.

Some possibilities:

Obviously I haven’t seen Moonlight yet - apparently it wholly deserves its Oscar win!

Lovely is nice, but Moonlight was groundbreaking, moving, the casting was perfection, and it was incredibly shot.

I know it’s popular to hate on La La Land nowadays, but I feel the same way. It was just the movie I needed to see at the end of December when everyone was talking about what a horrible year 2016 had been. It made me feel carefree and happy, and there’s nothing wrong with a movie that does that.

What about those of us who really, really, really wanted Bernie, but when it came to vote did the right thing and voted for Hillary, even though we were in a solidly red state where it didn’t matter? Can we hold our heads high?

Those same people keep bringing up that Hillary lost because she didn’t get out the POC vote the way Obama did, but conveniently completely forget that Bernie had almost zero outreach to POC and they overwhelmingly preferred Hillary.

You know, I’ve seen that picture before but all I noticed was Michael Flynn sitting next to Putin.

“He thought it was weird, however, that that part *did* mention him.”

Translation: None of those hippy chicks would sleep with him so they must not have been sleeping with anybody.
