Intelligent (white) American here: I watched the press conference too, and it didn’t occur to me that the comment might be racist. I don’t give a shit whether or not Mayweather is black, so I wasn’t looking for subtle racism in idiot McGregor’s tirade of grade school insults.

No, the Switch runs at about 40 degrees celsius under a full load. That’s *way* cooler than most devices. Computers get a *lot* hotter, and even cellphones get this hot. People are just posting stupid memes, and sites like Kotaku love to spread this bullshit around for click money.

You’re not buying it for a non-reason, then. The thing has been used in my house for like 12+ hours multiple times (multiple people playing Zelda, lol), and it’s never had an overheating issue. People blow things way out of proportion, and Kotaku feeds into it for clicks.

The rom that’s been floating around everywhere is missing significant chunks the final build has, according to the guy who worked on it. A piece of gaming history, finally made public like twenty years later. Pretty cool!

The NES Classic sold a crazy 2.5 million units (or more?) in the short time it was out. It’s not like Nintendo was purposefully telling you to go fuck yourself with the NES Classic. Expanding production is costly and risky if you don’t know how well something is going to sell.
