This still doesn't explain the origins of the videos, and why spend any money at all building your crap replicas detailed on the flickr pages if you're just going to show the real thing on the street?

Spread around their pages are many pictures and videos not taken at car shows. Someone actually had to let them near their cars on their own time.

They do seem to have enough money and connections to get access to a lot of these cars for photo opportunities. Did anyone find out where the videos of their supposed team assembling the two Aventadors actually came from? Seems like someone out there would have easily recognized this by now.

It is most useful when it's raining out. With the spray behind the car, you can't really see much of anything at all and this will pick out the car positions, closing speed and projected overtaking side for you.

Thank you for this fascinating article, I'm sure it took a bit of time to put together. You have to wonder how these guys had enough money to establish the fake lifestyle and keep up appearances, or if the people loaning them these supercars for photo shoots are in on it too and this is actually an even bigger scam

Absolutely correct. It would be quite difficult to replicate these marks again with a key. Because of it's location, someone likely walked by carrying something long and heavy and swiped it along the widest part of the truck.

I'm afraid you're only going to get 37 reasons why people hate the commenting system in reply.

True, someone has to buy these outrageously expensive supercars so the technology eventually trickles down to models we all can afford.

Now you too can obliviously door ding people two spaces away!

I agree with this. I don't run a front plate on two of my cars even though it is required. The states don't require a front plate on motorcycles so obviously it isn't a dire matter of public safety.

My favorite was the Skiing advice given in "Better off Dead."

Damn straight, this car has more power than you ever need on the streets. When not on a track, there is no shame in keeping stability/traction control on.

This is absolutely the logical solution. All the stories I hear about losing keys in press cars are due to carelessness. Are they really saying they need old technology to keep them in line because they can't manage it on their own?

Which model of Mazda? Mine has a tiny button on the handle you push to unlock while the proximity key is near. It never has to come out of my pocket when I enter or leave.

I have had many problems with metal keys, mostly older cars where lock cylinders wear out, keys wear down or simply break. My poor motorcycle key has been bent so many times I'm amazed it works.

The insurance reason is a myth. Companies consider the replacement cost and how often they are involved in thefts or other incidents. Some sports cars are cheaper to insure than commonly stolen family cars.

Nice one!

Sure, and I carve "Zeppelin Rules" into one goddamn banana at the grocery store and I'm no longer welcome there.

These look like they are extended purely to show directly behind you. Shouldn't properly adjusted side mirrors be angled back and outward showing what your rearview mirror cannot?

I absolutely love everything about this course except for the unrealistic jump. If they tone that down it will be perfect.
