I agree that Mazda wins, I just don't want you to discount a car because of your bad impression with the Miata. There are many straight men who drive Miatas, me included. I've actually used mine on the track and it is an incredibly well sorted car. The school I attended was buying several for track cars. In any car

You may not like it, but there is a reason that so many race drivers and enthusiasts endlessly praise the Miata for how it handles on the track.

I'm a serious Mazda fan and absolutely love that they make brilliant driver's cars, but I know that doesn't make them a good company. They are great for enthusiasts which is why I adore them. They can collaborate with any company that keeps them alive as long as they keep the MX-5 so wonderfully well-balanced.

You must also apparently ignore those who tell you not to put huge heavy wheels on your Del Sol. At least the race mirrors are helping.

That is one epic pit stop.

Okay, for most situations. That was a rough one.

A company called "Christ Wash Systems" has a calendar like that?

Can anyone tell me why the rules allow only refueling first on their very first pit stop and from then on they can refuel while changing tires?

That had to be a hard hit, but it highlights how effective tire walls are. The car looked complete enough to drive away.

I was just thinking that. This is almost the definition of a road rage douche.

Also that BMW running on three tires that spun out on the last corner, so close to the timing line. Apparently they were the fastest car on the track but had a few problems.

That is great! I had a hard time finding any details on the results but was really pulling for them after all the struggle. Do you know what failed on the car to leave him inches from the line? I watched as much as I could through their live feed sessions, it was a fantastic race. After that first rainstorm I couldn't

He pushed it across, but did he get a DNF or did that count? I felt bad for the guy.

I agree. How can you let each new generation ruin an otherwise fantastic car? Mitsubishi is dead to me and I really want to love them.

I saw so many of these fall apart. A family member bought one and suffered numerous leaks and the automatic transmission got stuck in second gear making for a very slow commute home that day.

This is just about as embarrassing as it gets.

That is awesome, I had a friend who did an engine swap like that by the side of the road after his went. Luckily he had a buddy to bring him a spare in the bed of a pickup.

I guess I should have asked differently. How many manual transmissions actually act like they have an overdrive, or why does my sixth gear still make the car scream along on the freeway.

They may fit the ratio, but it seems modern manual transmissions are pulling some pretty high revs in top gear on the freeway. Older cars and automatics used to drop it to around 2-2500 but the last few six speeds I've driven have been well over that.

I find GM cars have an overdrive that actually feels like it. My Miata in sixth gear will be screaming along at 80 MPH while cars like yours and certain Corvettes will pull respectable mileage at that speed.
