So right....
So right....
Thanks for the follow-up. I was really curious how this would end as I was convinced it was an insurance scam. It still could be an aborted scam after the publicity it received.
Yeah, probably would but I figured with our magical world of chemical science and magic there would be something great to spray on.
Thanks, doesn't look too expensive.
As far as keeping an old heap on the road goes, I have a question that someone on here should be able to answer. To keep our other cars nice, we bought a beater '92 Ford Explorer for a thousand bucks that we could use for hauling or driving through the snow and not care what happens to it. The truck is still going…
I'd be fascinated to see how the cars hold up after that long. I'd guess there will be much breakage and pit time. The cost of tires alone would probably hurt a lot of small teams.
Yow, best part of the whole article!
It seems the vast majority of people here have been obsessing over the idea of a turbo, but isn't it nice to have the simplicity and reliability of a naturally aspirated engine? Isn't that part of the reason we like the Miata so much, the engine is flexible and can be modded as we see fit?
How is the Corolla S not on here? Putting a body kit on and pretending this car is sporty is about as lame as it gets. Certainly far worse than your number one choice which I actually have no problem with.
Well said, and I completely agree. While I initially thought the Countryman was pointless, from a business perspective it makes sense. If they are going to do a crossover like this, at least it was done well.
Every time you hit one of those "what am I doing with my life" moments, just know that we appreciate your work.
Have you ever considered how much of your life is spent looking at scantily clad or naked ladies posing with cars? Somehow I imagine you have.
I almost hate to admit I really like this little Range Rover. Every time I see anyone play up the Beckham involvement I cringe.
I test drove one to compare it to the Prius. I would get very poor fuel economy due to the fact that I was full throttle getting onto any freeway. I will say that it looks better than the Prius and does have better steering.
Yes, indeed. Poor fuel mileage for what it is. Noisy, harsh transmission. Smugness from owners. I could go on.
I really want to like this car. I definitely would not say that it is the "lamest new car on sale" but I understand the disappointment.
You are probably quite correct. I couldn't find the article right off but I know there was far more to it. These cars have served the world well, but they've been old for quite some time now. I remember police departments complaining about the Crown Vic after the Caprice was discontinued and now so many don't want…
As I understand it, Ford would have to replace the tooling for the car as it was getting past its useful life. Even if the rights to build it could be bought from Ford, the cost of new tooling and an efficient enough assembly process would be cost prohibitive for anyone else.
You do know there has been just as much debunking Twitter's role in the protests, right?
I think you made a smart choice there.
