I can see some tiny DeLoreans in there!

I still get excited over the curves of an RX-8.
No apologies needed. It is interesting to hear a local perspective. As time goes on we remember things differently and tend to forget meaningful details.
Very true. I only had a rental Camry when I went and it was still a blast abusing that thing. Sure, the speed limit is low but part of the fun is trying to maintain through the tight bends. Unfortunately the Camry's tires protested quite a bit.
And sadly is also heavily speed patrolled. Still fun though.
Thanks for the tips, I'm actually less concerned about power than I am handling. I know auto enthusiasts always want more but the acceleration is actually quite good.
I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said. I live in Seattle and am regularly astounded and horrified at the stupidity of drivers around here. Just yesterday I almost got taken out by an old lady driving down Aurora on the wrong side of the road.
As someone who bought a new Miata last year, this does make me a little sad. Even though it isn't as competitive against the new kids I still imagine I'll be having too much fun driving it to care anymore.
What a super belt!
This is sadly a common sight around here. I've worked at dealerships and been horrified to see customers pack trash into every available space in an Outback. One such customer was actually unhappy with the fuel mileage she had been experiencing.
Any chance this car was used as a camera rig? I could see the bulge being used to support a platform and the other black bits further back being used for tie down points.
Damn straight! I need to point this out to people calling my NC a "chick car."
I am digging these and I can't explain why, I can only smile stupidly. So, thanks for that.
Those are all well said points, and I can admit the flaws with Gran Turismo but I can overlook them because of how it makes me feel. I am attached to certain cars so much that I regularly run laps around the Nurburgring before changing the oil and swapping them back into the garage.
This isn't popular opinion around here but packs like this do nothing for me. They make quirky cars that are rarely used or even race worthy yet still have the horrible career structure. Races are short, tire wear and fuel means nothing, there is no pit strategy, and no weather/time change. The career structure caters…
Giving government money to certain electric car manufacturers so they can create toys for rich people. That is the worst.
I looked through this, but has nobody said curb feelers yet? I honestly thought these had died off but I just saw a sweet 88 Civic 4 door DX with four of these bad boys on it.
Dear Internet,
This is my dream truck right there. I'd like to think the screaming V-12 would temporarily scare enough people for a rapid escape.
I frequently see professionals use the hand brake method and I always assumed it was the proper technique.
