Since most of the gas I buy will be going into my Miata, I will be too busy smiling to complain.

I'd love to hear how your story turns out. I'm truly sorry for the loss of what should have been a very exciting purchase.

Excellent choice. I test drove one of these just for fun and was amazed at the quality. The driving dynamics are enjoyable and the impression the gauges and tech gives you implies it is a much more expensive car.

I'm amazed at the stupid minor things that have killed people in the past and then seeing cases like this that show just how durable the human body is.

I'd love to know more about how the VW was set up. Sometimes I miss my old '69 Beetle, as terrifying as it was on the freeway.

My problem isn't with roof scoops. I love rally cars more than a bear loves whatever bears eat. I just hate scoops that do nothing but create drag. That was one of the reasons I didn't like my 2.5 RS. They left the hood scoop but took away the fun bits underneath that made it necessary.

Yes, but all the ones I've seen are adhered on and less functional than the hood scoop on my old 2.5 RS.

Now tell me why I see punk kids cruising around town with roof scoops on their Subarus and I will be satisfied.

You are generally correct. I can only get away with car themed shirts like my DeLorean T-shirts that are a silhouette of the car or just the wheels pattern without any logos.

Mine also refers to the back seat a lot and carrying heavy cargo.

Go to hell, physics!

That is funny, because I had always hated convertibles until I bought a new Miata last year with the power retractable hardtop. Suddenly I saw the appeal when I took it on a weekend trip through the Olympic Peninsula. The open air on twisty backroads along the lake was incredible.

Great choice, but a shame about the transmission option. Or lack of one I should say.

True, but there is always Miata.... Actually I found Mazdas in general to have more manual transmissions available. My girlfriend was looking for a manual transmission car in several models that were not available at any dealership. I had her look at the Mazda3 and it seems half of them on the lot were stickshifts so

Somewhat sad story, but I sold my 2000 2.5 RS coupe last year. It had 100,000 miles. It needed head gaskets soon and I got more for it in trade than I asked for. Sometimes I miss that car but it went toward the purchase of a new 2011 Mazda Miata.

A car can only be powered so far on one's sense of self satisfaction.

Another one I never understand. So they think that if I am not warned that there may be box trucks on the road I will simply slam into them?

This is asinine. As if I wouldn't react to seeing a large truck with lights and sirens they need a sign to warn me that one might be there.

Thought for sure I had it!

As beautiful as the exhaust note it makes.
