If your response to someone pointing out what a slow, boring movie this is is to snarkily compare it to the Fast and the Furious, you’re probably a moron.

Yes, it’s the phone. I usually keep my phone in a cupholder while I’m driving, as it’s connected to my stereo. A sudden stop could cause it to fly forward out of the cupholder and hit something, or something else could fall down onto the screen. Phone screens aren’t known for their durability. Paper is pretty unlikely…
“It’s not a matter of doing the things we’re already doing, just doing them better; it’s a matter of coming up with an entirely new way of doing things.”
I generally love watching sports at a bar, and I’ve had some fun times getting half-cut watching hockey, football, and soccer in rowdy pubs. But MMA bros are not your usual sports fans and watching fights surrounded by a bunch of drunk people who’ve taken 3 BJJ lessons and suddenly think they’re a seasoned cage…
Burrows is definitely more cowardly, you’re definitely right about that. Cooke has at least stood up and took a few beatings over the years for his shit. I don’t think Burrows ever has.
I did this to a bad parking neighbour one time and she wound up leaving a note on MY windshield about it. I couldn’t believe how oblivious she was. Didn’t stop her from parking right on the line again afterwards, either.
“My doubt of his sincerity in context hung on the fact there are alcohol-free versions of beer & wine.”
I’ll take this bait. I genuinely don’t enjoy being drunk and it exacerbates some other mental health issues I have, but there’s nothing I enjoy more than a good brown ale or a peaty scotch. So long as I pace myself (around a pint or dram per hour) and drink with food, I can usually keep from getting anything more than…
This is something that makes me legitimately uncomfortable about newer cars. Yeah, they’re on average more reliable, safer, make more power, and get better fuel economy, but I feel like I’m less and less likely to be able to fix it myself with every new model year.
I haven’t checked in a while, but a few years ago at least, yes, the CFL had a lower rate of brain injuries. The article I read suggested it might have a lot to do with the larger field, there being more space to get around safely. Hockey is similar, with leagues using Olympic-size rinks having lower concussion rates…
These almost came over as the Dodge Slingshot. I don’t remember why it was cancelled but I remember being kinda bummed out about it.
I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for Mustang II’s. When I saw this one, I was simultaneously incredibly stoked and also shocked that anyone would put this much money into one, but it’s an extremely cool car built from something that doesn’t get a lot of love.
I agree with this. Since they were redesigned a couple of years ago, the car started looking a lot better, more like a proper Beetle. I think they’re kinda nice now. There’s still a weird stigma around them though.
No, he doesn’t. You need to realize that the Taurus got more than just one model year.
Passing on a two-lane undivided highway.
They read part of Atlas Shrugged one time. Isn’t that basically the same thing?!
This is actually cool as hell. Probably wildly impractical too but whatever.
As a CFL fan, I assure you that while this will definitely be dumber and louder, it will have none of the things I love about our weird, small-time league.
Pretty impressive that they’re still playing football over two decades later, you have to admit.
Cool strawman you built there. Any other positions you want to pretend I’ve taken?
