A part of me wants the story of one of those horror movies with rules like “stay on the path” and “don’t go out after dark,” and the protagonists follow all the rules and have a great time.

My only problem with this is that if you’re getting paid, why not just follow the frickin’ list of 10 simple rules???

I’ve never been interested in Reddit but this might be the thread that gets me over there.

I’ma wager there’s more to this story. This seems very...arbitrary.

My favorite part of the Vicki-Brooks cancer saga is that Vicki called Tamra over to show her the alleged results from Brooks’ PET scan and every time someone got wind of this, their response was, “why did they show YOU? I mean, no offense, but why YOU?” Even Tamra acknowledged she couldn’t read her way out of a paper

YESSSSSSS!!!!

Oh, I’m so freaking excited for the reunion, because Vicki could probably squirrel her way out of it if just Meghan and Tamra were questioning things, maybe even Heather, but the fact that Shannon is the one going at her the hardest now is going to make it impossible. She’s finally getting caught in her lies, because

But the quote came from the mouth of noted and studied basketball scholar Master P so I feel like I should believe it.

“If Kobe was his friend...Kobe, like, owns the team. He could’ve got the man back on the team...that’s all he wanted.”

Not my Rob Ford crack pipe though, that stays at home!

I do agree with you that substance abuse is awful and really should not be celebrated. But, having been to rehab (ahem) myself, I can say that the alcoholics were really in bad shape, more than the coke heads. They were shaking and garbled in the beginning, physically wrecked from all of the drinking.

But we’re all just going to ignore the twerking on the interviewer's car thing? Nothing I've read lately has made me so exhausted as that anecdote.

I adore her, and it makes me so sad that so many people dismiss her because she’s “not serious” or she’s “too quirky”. I think her work has a hell of a lot more depth than most people working today, and I think it’s a lot more honest and empathetic to boot.

do yourself a favor and google miranda july and read all about her and read one of her books or watch one of her movies. you’ve been missing out.

It says מלאך, malach (ch like in Bach), which means angel. The dots and lines underneath the letters are vowels.

Hey all, it’s 100% Hebrew, it says מלאך, ma-lach ( ‘a’ like in ‘father’ in both syllables, stress on the second syllable, the ‘ch’ pronounced like in “Bach”) which means ‘angel’ - the dots and lines underneath are called “nikkud” (ניקוד) which is basically the vowels (Hebrew letters are mostly consonants, the vowels

It’s definitely Hebrew. On closer inspection, I can see that I was wrong, initially. The middle two letters (right to left) are definitely a lamed (L) and an alef (A/vowel). Examples:

It’s Hebrew, but I can’t see the word clearly. Looks like it could be מלכה (Queen) or Melech, for King.

I think a little hyperbole is allowed sometimes.
