Wait..I'm dumb and somehow misinterpreted the meaning of "late", despite Fast and Furious being one of the very first examples. That said.. there isn't much difference in quality between White Heaven in Hell and the preceding films. They are all great.

Was Lone Wolf & Cub: White Heaven in Hell really "late"? It came the year after Baby Cart in the Land of Demons, and the entire six movie series was released over a three year span. It's a great movie, but doesn't really seem to fit.
